ten years

Back in May, Michael and I celebrated our ten year anniversary. It's crazy to think that we've been married that long. We've done a lot together.

Marriage
A house
Vacations
Two babies
Laughs
Giggles
Cries
Good times
Hard times
Lots of memories

To celebrate,we did this...

Yep. I squeezed back into my wedding dress (Well, not really. I couldn't zip the back up all the way.) and we trashed the dress. I love our cheesy cruise wedding pictures, but I really wanted something a little more professional to mark this moment and hang on the wall. So we took a few pictures pre-paint.

Then I let the kids have at it.

Then Taryn, our fantabulous photographer, captured these of me and the girls.

Everything about this session turned out exactly how I imagined it. Paint, glitter, laughs, and a whole lot of love.
To my hubby. You're my partner in crime and my biggest supporter. You make me smile big and my heart happy. I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else.
Happy 10th Anniversary. I love you more today than yesterday and even more tomorrow. Thank you for loving me.

the flower field

Did I ever post these? I don't think I did. I've wanted to do flower field pictures for years, but it just never works out. It always blooms around the girls birthday's and it's so hard to plan for since you are at the mercy of the flowers. Well, this year it worked out. I couldn't be happier with these pictures. Everyone is smiling. No one was cranky. I guess a flower field just makes everything better.

We love Taryn, our photographer. She has the cutest ideas and props. I mean, how cute is this tea party setup? I want that chandelier.

Nothing about this is posed. Sometimes they don't fight and you get this. Oh look. Another chandelier.
One of my favorites. One of theirs too. It's like time just stopped.
These girls are my everything.

One flower field session marked off the list. These might be some of my favorite pictures EVER! Thanks again to Taryn who does a great job making us look beautiful.

love day

It's Valentine's Day! Let me tell you about my special loves.

This girl. The one that changed my life forever. I never knew my heart could love so much.
She's so smart and funny, sensitive and sweet. She kisses me at least three times before she gets on the bus each morning.
She's stubborn and hard headed just like me. But she also has the most caring heart.
She loves to color and read books with her daddy. And she always laughs at this silly jokes.
Then there's this one. She had my heart from the moment I laid eyes on her.
She's such a ham. Always dancing and singing. She marches to the beat of her own drum.
She's so soft spoken and loud at the same time. But she always knows when to hug and snuggle me right when I need it.
The love I have for them can not be measured.
These two are best friends. They might not always show it, but deep down they love each other so much.
Sometimes they fight. Sometimes they fight a lot. But the smiles and the giggles, the kisses and the hugs make up for all of that.
I love when they sleep together. I find them curled up next to each other holding hands in their sleep. I love watching their relationship and love for one another grow each day.
We can't forget about this guy. I wouldn't make it through without him. He's always there for me, good times and bad. And he puts up with all my crap.
He's the best daddy in the world. He would do anything for these girls. He doesn't go a day without playing Barbies or mermaids. And he does bathtime every night so I don't have to.
He makes me laugh every day. I hope he knows I love him with my whole heart.
This family of mine. They are everything to me.
They keep me going on days when it's hard.
We laugh. We smile. We cry. Then we do it all over again.
We make new memories every day.
I mean, really? How did I get so lucky.
I thank God every day for this. All of this.

family photos

Back in November we took some family pictures at the Baughman Center on campus in Gainesville. Two of them ended up on the Christmas card. I just realized that I never posted them here. This was our best photo shoot YET so it's hard for me to pick my favorites because they all turned out so good. Here's a few.

I planned this so Shannon could take some pictures with us. All the years we've been friends we've never had a professional picture taken together.

Bribing the girls with toys and candy during the session totally worked.
I love my family so much. They are my everything.
A big thank you to Taryn for taking our pictures once again. See Taryn's blog here or find her on Facebook.
