After egg hunting and dinner at my mom's we went to Aunt Karen's house. I always loved going over there as a kid and as an adult, I love it just as much. It's always great to spend time with my cousins. There's plenty of food, wine, and good conversation. And there's always kids running around. The girls like the swing set. Morgan was up for swinging since the Tylenol had kicked in.
There's always some sort of motorcycle or four wheeler over there. This day was no different. My Aunt lives on a big piece of land so there is plenty of room for people to ride around. Even Michael. These pictures kill me.
When I look at this one all I can think about is Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber riding that scooter.
He was not alone. My cousin Darren participated.
And my cousin Rickey with that ridiculous headband he wore all day.
We were warned to stay clear of Ben driving the red car. It had no brakes and from the looks of it was missing a gas tank.
The girls and I got in on the action as well.
In all there were two motorbikes, three four wheelers and an old red car. Such a fun afternoon. Since everyone was exhausted, including me, we took naps on the way home. Then the girls found one more treat from the Easter bunny.
This Easter bunny keeps it simple. Toothbrushes and Squinkies. And Whoppers so I can eat them when they go to bed.

the last egg hunt
...was in my mom's backyard. Just the girls and cousin M. No one else around to fight for eggs.
Addison showing of her collection of eggs, including her one prize. She was disappointed that it only had one dollar in it instead of a five. Note to my mom: step it up next year. (I kid, of course.)
I tried to get Morgan to show me her eggs. She refused. She was cranky and over it all.
Then this happen. 102 degree fever. Poor thing was miserable. She laid on the couch and was out in 10 minutes. Poor thing. I knew there was a reason she wasn't acting herself.
I had to take a picture with M before leaving. She likes to walk around with a cup and eat ice. I love this silly little girl so much.

My mom was sick. Jim was sick. Morgan was sick. It was only my little family that decided to stop by my Aunt Karen's house on the way out of town. I'm sure glad we did. Pictures coming up.
sunday best
The girls woke up at my mom's and the Easter bunny had brought baskets full of treats. So many treats that I'm still going through everything and have no idea what to do with half of the candy.
Then we headed to church. My Aunt got these dresses for the girls a couple of weeks ago. She called me to tell me she fell in love with them and had to get them. It was perfect timing for Easter. The girls loved them and didn't fuss once about wearing them. After church we did the Easter egg hunt. This is my favorite one of them all. The eggs are filled with money so there is no candy involved. Everyone's happen and there is nothing to throw away.
That's my niece M behind Addison. I can't believe how big she has gotten. It seems like yesterday when I was holding her for the first time.
A couple of my girls with their Daddy. I love these three more than anything.
I love pictures like this. They melt my heart.
After the hunting and the picture taking the girls went inside to count their money. They didn't get the $5 prize egg, but it didn't matter. Any kind of money makes them happy. It's all about the thrill of getting to put it in their piggy bank.Back at my mom's I squeezed in one picture with Morgan. She was very tired and clingy all morning and really not into pictures. I couldn't figure out why until later when I felt her head. 102 degree fever. This was the start to the bad week of sickness.
My brother took this one of me and the hubby. I love him lots.
Things ran pretty smoothly Easter morning. Everyone was up and ready early. We made it to church on time and everything. It turned out to be a really good day.

coloring eggs
Easter weekend was kind of crazy so we didn't get to color eggs at our house. But we did get to do it at Grandma's. Which means she gets stuck with the dozen eggs that no one is going to eat. Win for me!
Surprisingly, Morgan was very gentle with her eggs.
Addison pressed a little too hard on one or two of them.
Checking to see if they are done.
Everyone stayed relatively clean and no cups were tipped over.
Me and my girls while we wait.
One of them was over the pictures. No more mom.
Finished product.

When we were all done we went in the backyard to enjoy the sunshine. Morgan blew bubbles.
Michael and Addison hung out in the swing.
It's about time Spring stuck around. I was getting sick of the cold.
