By lunch time yesterday I was ready for a nap. I went with Morgan on her first field trip. I spent two hours with 11 two and three year olds. Do you know how much energy they have? It started on the bus. Everyone had to be buckled into the built in car seats. The excitement of the first bus ride was buzzing all around. Morgan got a little scared when the motor cranked up. Then we took off. All of the kids were giggling and cheering. Morgan was happy I was sitting next to her.
The trip to the library took about 10 mintues. Then they all had to be unbuckled. We couldn't move quick enough. They were ready for story time. Everyone did really well. They sat and listened, they sang songs, they jumped up and down like monkeys. I had a smile on my face the whole time. So did Morgan.
Morgan needed my sun glasses because the sun was too bright. Sensitive, just like me.
Morgan had a great time and so did I. This is a great group of kids and their teachers are fantastic. A lot of the credit should be given to them. Sign me up for the next one, but I'd like to add a stop to Starbucks on the route.
