Please excuse my rusty patio furniture. It's the next big purchase we plan on making.
Addison has been singing Happy Birthday since we went to her first birthday party in January. And for the past week she's been singing it to herself. She was so excited when everyone gathered around to sing to her. And then she got a little shy. These have to be my two favorite pictures.
Addison adores Michael. Most mornings Michael is the one to wake her up. On the days that I make it in there to do it, the first thing she says to me is "Where's daddy?". I love these two so much.
Then her fancy cupcake ended up here. That's her looking up at Michael wondering what just happen.
I thought the biggest hit of the day was going to be the swing set. Don't get me wrong, she loved it! My mom and Jim were originally going to get this for Addison at Christmas, but we made them wait since we weren't sure if we were going to sell the house. But if I had to guess her favorite gift it would probably be the plastic shopping cart with food (seen in the background of the below picture). I think she pushed that thing around for 3 days straight. She has since backed off a little and now we swing for about 45 minutes every night. I wonder how she doesn't get sick.

The doctor's kit was another big hit. She walked around that afternoon telling us all that we were sick and then she made us feel all better. We tried to get a family shot and she wouldn't take it off. Michael and Addison always take the cutest pictures together.
Here's my attempt at a picture with her. I'm only posting this because I can laugh at myself. I think this is a mixture of her wanting her stethoscope back that Michael took from her and me telling Michael to give it back so we can get a decent picture. Like how that turned out.
It was a fun day. Addison had a great time with her grandparents around and the girl's from next door. And I had a good time eating cupcakes, Chick-fil-a and lounging in the backyard while everyone else entertained my child. :)

And...I think Michael and I have come up with a name. Just like Addison, it's the only thing that we can both agree on. He's a little more into it than I am, but I like it and it's growing on me. I actually spent some time thinking about it last night when I couldn't sleep. I think since I've made it this far that I'll just keep it to myself for another two weeks. :)

She was so excited about the giant animated Chuck E that would come out from behind the curtain to sing. She kept jumping up and down at the table and tried to get Michael to join in.
We had a really good time and I can definitely see another trip in the future. Next time I'll be able to participate in the alcohol that they serve for the parents. Brilliant idea! I'm sure it makes the loud, noisy kids running around a little more tolerable.

She's such a fun and energetic little girl. Always smiling, running and dancing. Whether it's something she says or something she does, she always knows how to put a smile on my face. She has the sweetest heart and she sure does love her mommy and daddy.
I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us. I imagine a lot more giggles, a few tears and a ton of memories.
We love you Addison. Hope you have a Happy Birthday!

Sunday morning the Easter bunny brought her a basket. I put it on her nightstand so she would see it when she woke up. My mom always put them on the foot of our bed so it was the first thing we would see. Addison was so excited. I put her new white sandals in there to try and convince her to wear them. Lately she only wants to wear her tennis shoes or flippy flops. Thankfully it worked and she wore them only because bunny foo foo gave them to her.
When we got home from church I wanted a nice picture of the two of us in the backyard. Who am I kidding? The child hates the camera lately. I got this one inside. Not too bad.
Because this is all she wanted to do outside.
After Easter lunch (ham and homemade mac & cheese), a cranky afternoon, long nap, waking up on the wrong side of the bed and a mini melt down, Addison said to me that she was "all better" and wanted to look for eggs in the backyard. She was so proud of herself when she found an egg.

We had such a fun day, just the three of us. It was a little odd not going to my mom's, but I'm really pregnant and cranky so I thought I should just stay home. To see the rest of our Easter fun, click HERE.
I haven't had a real belly shot in awhile, but I thought this was too funny. After coloring Easter eggs on Saturday night, Addison wanted to use up some more of her stickers. And she thought that baby sister should join in the fun.
Mom - just so you know, those stickers are hard and they hurt when you peel them off. Thanks! :)

Shannon did get me this cute little outfit. Love it!
Addison enjoyed all of the festivities and the kids in the house. I don't think I saw her for an hour. She is still asking me "where did all the people go".
Thanks Shannon for doing all of this for me. We're so glad that you got to come and visit. We miss you already. And right after we took this picture we went out for manicures and pedicures. We both so needed it. Man do I look pregnant.
Thanks to everyone who came to the party and all of the fabulous gifts. I had such a great time and can't wait for baby girl to be here so she can meet all of the wonderful people in my life.
