happy halloween

Tons of pictures coming up. Pumpkin patches, festivals, school parties, carving pumpkins and of course tonight's costumes. It's my favorite time of the year.
Morgan's owl on the left. Addison's Izzie cat on the right. She actually did most of it herself. We had a little ear incident so it's being held in place by toothpicks. Hey, for a 6 year old she did pretty good.

halloween party

Two weekends ago Michael and I went to a Halloween/birthday party. Costumes were recommend. Since Michael is not a fan of dressing up, I tried to keep it as simple as possible for him. Black pants and black shirt that he already had, suspenders, tie, gun and hat from the Halloween store. He added the fake cigarette all on his own.
Everyone had their picture taken at the party.
The party was at my friend Lauren's house, who is Beth's daughter. Beth walked around all night and took pictures. I'm cheesing big time here which I'm sure is because of the vodka.
Me and Beth. I just adore her.
Later that night we went to a casino party. We had clothes in the car to change into, but remember the vodka? Changing was too much work so I wore this all night. I may have been the only one at the party dressed up, but it didn't matter. It's all about having fun and that I had.

color vibe 5k

I ran a color run in Gainesville last weekend with some great friends. Cole was really excited about his second 5k, but was slightly disappointed when I told him it wasn't timed. Timing it would take all the fun out of it. My friend Allison didn't run with us, but was our photographer for the day. Here's Cole and in the parking lot warming up. I showed him how to do a couple of burpees. Look at those nice white shirts. Also, let's point out how tall Cole is. He's only 14 and is growing like a weed.
Allison's parents came out to support Cole. I love Dennis and Diana. I've known them since birth so they've been there for some crazy stuff in my life.
Cole decided we needed a little color to get the party started.
 I love this kid.

This is me, Stella and Magaly before the race even started. I was already messier than my last color run.
Allison caught me crossing the finish line. I haven't run in awhile so there was a lot of walking, but I did make it a point to run to the end.
And the after shots. Someone did a really good job with the pink.
Me and the girls. Poor Magaly got it in her eye. I literally had it caked inside my sports bra.
These color runs are always a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next one.

soccer season 2013

The eight week soccer season has come and gone. Things get a little hectic during those two months so it's been a little hard to keep up with posting. And this was Morgan's first year playing so we doubled the practices and the games. It's worth it though. The girls had a blast.

Here's Addison right after her first game. We saw some good progress and change in Addison this year. She really went after the ball and wasn't afraid to get in there with the boys and kick it. She didn't make a goal, but she was so excited when anyone on her team did. Next year is going to be her year.
This was Morgan after her first game. She didn't do much playing. There was a lot of standing around, playing with her hair, and waving at us from across the field. Towards the end of the season it started to click a little more, but if there was anything girlie going on around her she wasn't interested in the game.
Once I get through some more of the pics I'll post some action shots.

aleyece turns one

My niece Aleyece turned one last week so this past weekend we attended a birthday party held in her honor. I can't get over how fast a year has flown by and how big she is getting. I remember holding her the day she was born.
She's walking!
My sister Courtney and her sweet baby girl.
Cake time! Hands down this was my favorite part too. By the way, Courtney made this cake all by herself. I was pretty impressed. The other cake came from BJ's and OMG was it good.

My brother and his family were there as well. Morgan and M played side by side the entire afternoon.

Then I got really lucky and snapped this shot of M. One of my all time favorites!
I got a couple of good ones of Addison too.

For the record, everyone at the party (mostly people we don't know) kept commenting on how much the girls look like me. Take that Michael.

weekend fun

We always love when Matthew comes up to visit from Daytona. They girls have a blast with him. We went to Adventure Landing last time he was in town for some go karting and roller coaster riding. There was a lot of smack talking going on before the race.

We were the only ones on the ride. It's so much fun to sit behind them and listen to them giggle and scream at the same time.
Michael and Matthew got a little competitive at the batting cages. The girls could care less. They just wanted to wear the helmets.

On Sunday we headed to the beach and then treated Matthew to a local favorite, Angie's Subs. You might not be able to tell, but the girls were a little worn out.
Some weekends we like to have tent picnics in the backyard. Just a normal thing for us.
Our neighbors took us on a little boat ride. Mark, the Captain, safely got us to lunch. The girls do so good in their life jackets now. No complaints.

Addison, April and Camper enjoying the cruise.
Addison has been begging for a playdate with her friend Reilly. Since I badly needed a pedicure, I turned it into the best playdate ever! I may be setting the bar too high.
Let's see what kind of fun we can get into this weekend.
