chicago weekend: part one

Back in May I had a little girls getaway with Shannon in Krista in Chicago. Lucky for us it happen to be the weekend the cold front came through at it was 42 degrees when I got off the plane. Pure misery. Shannon and I drowned our cold sorrows in beer and wine our first night.

 A certain someone (named Krista) missed her early flight Friday morning and didn't make it in until later that evening. Shannon and I had a change of plans for the day and decided to do some shopping. The skies were clear that morning, but don't let it fool you. It was cold!

Krista arrived just in time to get changed and head to dinner at the Pump Room. We decided to get all fancy for the evening even if it was cold outside. The food here was really good, but the drinks were even better. They made their own syrups and mine happen to be infused with chili powder. It was delish.

Side note: Shannon was with me that day when I bought these snakeskin leggings. I never would have tried them on if it wasn't for her. It's always nice to have a bestie to talk you into things. I love them!

After dinner we took a cab to 'the club'...

...where we were close to the oldest ones there. But it didn't matter. We had a few beverages and danced the night away. 

And took silly photos in the photo booth.

Such a great night with these ladies. I love them to pieces.
