mother nature is cruel sometimes

Since I'm playing catch up, let's go way back. My cousin Randy got married on April 20th. They planned a FL beach wedding and reception outside. Sounds like the perfect day, except Mother Nature played a mean joke on them. It was rainy, windy and cold. Like 55 degrees cold. I had to wear boots to a beach wedding. Not something you see in FL. They had their beach wedding and reception and despite the cold, we all had a really good time. I snapped this of Randy and Rachael during the first dance.
All sorts of second and third cousins in this picture.
Addison and Arden were reunited. They haven't seen each other since our trip to NY last summer. It's like not time had passed. They were instant friends.

One of my cousin's wife's was super smart and brought chips for all the kids to snack on. They were a huge hit. Maybe the orange ones weren't the best idea, but they liked them so that's all that matters.

There were just a few heating lamps there so Michael and Addison found a spot. The other heated area was the Porta Potties that they rented for the reception. They were nice ones too! We all rotated taking the kids in to warm up.
Morgan and I snuggled to try and stay warm.
Then I tried to warm up from the inside. The sangria helped with that.
Morgan tried to warm up by playing with Michael's iPhone. I know. That's a stretch, but it did keep her occupied.
Addison was a trooped. We stayed and danced until the bride and groom left. It wasn't as cold when you were getting jiggy on the dance floor.
It was such a fun wedding. It's always nice to have the majority of my family together in one place. We all have a great time together. We kept the party going at a bar across the street. Here's a rare picture of me and my brother.
Oh, I almost forget. A rare picture of my mom and Jim. My mom is almost smiling.
I can't end this post without showing off the cool shades and selfie I took in the bathroom at the after party. I mean, who doesn't wear their sunglasses at night.
I told you. Fun things happen when I get together with my family.
