the time has come

The girls are set with shoes. My best friend Shannon works for Footlocker and hooks them up. They get new shoes every birthday and Christmas and love it. For years Addison has been wearing Skechers Twinkle Toes. They are her favorite. Her foot has slowed in growth so the most recent ones she's been wearing have been around awhile. A long while.

They're scratched, scraped, scuffed, missing crystals, torn, and black from dirt. There is so much dirt and sand caked on the inside of them that even after a good cleaning she still has sand in her toes when I take her socks off. They're just bad.

I pulled out her new purple and black Nike's, which are still a little big, and decided that we were going to wing it. Then I decided that I want a pair of those Nike's - (Shannon: hook me up!). We added a new pair of Tinker Bell shoes and then went for it. We threw out the Twinkle Toes.

I should have sent them off for some kind of science experiment. They were that gross. I was a little sad to see them go, but it was time.
